HISTORY & INTRO
Israel’s Merkava Mark IV main battle tank entered full production in 2001 and began operational training with the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) in July 2003. The first battalion of Merkava Mk 4 tanks entered service with the Israel Defence Forces in 2004.
Israel’s Merkava Mark IV tank has been crowned one of the five deadliest tanks in the world by the conservative American magazine the National Interest, alongside Russia’s T40 and the American M1 Abrams.
The Merkava is also one of the first armored vehicles to be equipped with the Trophy Active Protection System (APS), the only fully operational and combat-proven APS against anti-tank guided missiles in the world.

The gun barrel can be raised and lowered independently.
The tank can move forward, backward, forward left/backward and forward right/backward (all directions have variable speed function).
Make the tank rotate on the spot by driving the left and right tracks in opposite directions (the rotation on the spot has a variable speed function).
